WELCOME
The Photographic Federation of Long Island is a voluntary non-profit organization of camera clubs from Nassau and Suffolk counties and the 5 boroughs of NYC and is dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of photography.
The PFLI is a member of the Photographic Society of America
The Federation exchanges information between clubs at monthly delegate meetings and by way of our monthly newsletter, the PFLI NEWS. Copies of the newsletter and delegates minutes may be found on this web page.
The Federation also holds monthly inter-club competitions from October through May plus an annual competition, the
Leonard Victor Competition, to select the best photographs of the year. The winners of the Leonard Victor
competition plus images that attained a perfect score at the monthly competitions may also be seen on this web page.
Everyone is invited to the competitions which are held at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library,
999 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY.
The Federation also holds a number of special events including instructional seminars with leading experts in the

YEAR END STATISTICS ARE POSTED INCLUDING CLUB STANDINGS, MEDALS AND
26 POINT AWARDS, THE ALL STAR LIST, THE WORKERS MOVING FROM "B" TO "A",
THE IMAGES ELIGIBLE FOR THE LEONARD VICTOR COMPETITION AND SOME
OVERALL STATISTICS. OF INTEREST, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENTRIES WAS UP 8%
OVER LAST YEAR WHILE SLIDES DROPPED 37%. DIGITAL IMAGES WERE UP
126%. THE OVERALL AVERAGE WAS UNCHANGED AT 22.4 POINTS
