THE PFLI ANNOUNCES THE HALL OF FAME

The PFLI has created a HALL OF FAME to honor those photgraphers who have shown an extraordinary amount of skill and expertise over an extended period of time. The criteria for induction into the HALL OF FAME are purely objective and
require accumulating a minimum of 50 points over a 5 year period in the "A" category only. The points are determined as follows;

For finishing in the top 3 places on any All Star List - 5 POINTS.  This is considered the most difficult challenge. To appear on an All Star List you must have at least 5 images in that category sent to the PFLI competitions in a single season. That means you must first clear the hurdle of being selected by your club from among all of its images at least 5 times. Then your images must consistantly score well at PFLI to make it to the top of the list. Generally one poor score dooms your chances.  There is no hard and fast number but an average of 24 (or higher) is usually required to finish at the top of these lists.

For attaining a perfect score of 27 at any monthly PFLI competition - 4 POINTS.  This is considered the second most difficult challenge. On average only about a dozen images attain a perfect score each year out of over 2,000 submitted making your chances about 1 in 165.

For capturing a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at the Leonard Victor Competition - 3 POINTS.  In this competition it is your best  images against everyone elses best images, however based on the number of awards and the restricted number of entries, your chances are about 1 in 40.

The HALL OF FAME will become part of the Archives page but you can view the initial inductees by clicking HERE.
